It looks like the possible tasks of industrial robots are extending to other areas... These robots are slowly moving out of the assembly lines, as they are able to carry out better visual recoginition capabilities and combining them with their improved motion ability. In comparison to assembly line industrial robots, which work on predefined environments, this definitely seems like a huge step forward....See link below...
