Intelligent environment help service robot to perform
A different and interesting concept may enable service robots of the future work much more efficiently and faster than we might think. According to a research done at Technical University of Munich, the new kitchen robot is able to identify objects not only with its own sensors but also with RFID tags placed on objects. Traditionally when we think about robots, the main obstacle appears to be it's adaptability to its surroundings. But what if it is an intelligent environment? This may enable robots to perform much more tasks in a much easier way than we think. As long as the dinner is cooked, who cares if it is the robot's ability or with the help of its surroundings?
